I always do my flowers with a shallow DoF Claire ..it softens the effect

i just had a look at mine and remembered that the windowlight was too dark i agree with you and absolutely love shallow DOF but it can get tricky at times

Those were shot late this afternoon Claire....with bad light 
I was going to take them outside but then decided to see what they would be like ...
