Great pics. Saw something about that on the Top Gear TV program. Isn't it how long a slide in a corner can be kept by a car or something? see the car behind the fencing in picture no 5 has my name number plate

more or less, yeah.
They broadslide the car round corners rather than steer into them.
So they approach at speed, throw the back end of the car out and control the slide round the corner, trying not to spin out (oversteer), or lose the slide (understeer)
