First real try at shooting in raw!!

well here goes I was going for a natural light look! don't know if I have managed it!! lol please feel free to tell me where I'm going wrong!

Looks good FB. I'd say composition could be improved - ie keep in mind the whole picture and not just the subject... i/e the dark bit on the left?

I think I'll have to invest in some backgrounds if I'm going to get Serious about portraits!

Awww That is a lovely shot !

I personally like the composition (however keep an eye on your background), but your colour is too warm resulting in your colours (particually whites) to come out incorrect.

Adjust your white balance to around 5,500k, which is typical dayight. You can do thhis manually or by choosing one of your cams pre set modes.

Shooting RAW will not result in a diffrent outcome than it would a JPEG. Raws just allow a larger scope of PP

Just to add, you dont have tio invest in expensive backdrops and lighting untill your more confident I often used a bed sheet and a household lamp

Go full hog and get some lighting gear too
