Trying the Teleconverter

Even though the light was horrible, it was raining and bloody cold went out for a bit.

These were shot at 800 iso, and with shivering hands

Number 3 is a stunning shot and of course a gorgeous bird!! you can tell it was raining as they all look a bit wet LOL!! but what a steady hand you have!!! well done!

Very good shots Sk, #3 is my favourite as well . I see you have used "HARD" sharpening (in camera) but it's made your images a little harsh IMO. #4 appears to have been shot using ISO 200 and you did well not to get a blurry pic @ 1/40sec, pity about the background though

Thanks everyone, there are loads of the pink bull finches where I took these, place is over run with them!

Ooops I forgot I did a few at iso 200 when there was a flash bright weather for about 3 seconds!

You're right Dejavu I let the camera do most of the work in relation to sharpening and saturation, I do very little post processing other than to crop and the odd contrast adjustment. I like the pics to be, if anything approaching over sharp and a little extra in the saturation.
