Re: Jack! (help and comments welcome)

Nice work on the selective colour mate, think you called it there is a little too much blur on the first for my liking, is this a crop or the full pic? If its a crop might look nice to not have it so tight on his head and to add a vignette to draw the eye into his face.

Re: Jack! (help and comments welcome)

Nice shots FB.

I would ease up on the blur too, and maybe even drop the selective colouring.

And what's wrong with the second shot? It's great

Re: Jack! (help and comments welcome)

A really good trick is to try using the burst mode, in the hope that at least _one_ pic comes out good

Re: Jack! (help and comments welcome)

I don't think the blurring is all that bad. It draws the eye to the face which is what you want, although I would loose the selective colour. It doesn't work in this particular shot. You could maybe add another filter over the eyes just to tone them down a bit further, but I think they're just too strong.

I like the second one. I get a sense of his character from this shot.
