Re: egret

Nice capture Bazza, I've seen 2 Little Egret's in the last week at different venues whilst out walking and not at RSPB sites either. Yet to get such a nice shot as yours though.

Richard

This was taken by a small lake in the guarded estate in Brazil where we stayed. This in Daughter- in-laws place just one of many properties her family own. we Stayed here and lived like lords. had own gardener and pool attendant. These photos are just part of the place, the garage is the size of a bungalow on the other side.

Several of the properties in the gated community had their own helicopters and landing pads.
Absolutely stunning place apart from the screeching parrots, but watching the humming birds was wonderful.

Also went down to Ubatuba where they had a block of apartments which they kept one for themselves. So we stayed for a few days there as well right on the coast.

Now me being me kept an eye out for McDonalds, yes lowering the tone again as always.

Oh No say D/I/Law We will go where they make home made burgers. So one evening we drove down this back street to a house with pool tables in the drive and a covered frontage with tables.

Seeing it no way was I even getting out of the car, Builder type blokes with tattoes up the arms and ,well you know the type, ones you steer well clear of, drink beer out of bottles.

D/I/Law insisted it was ok, gulp more than once believe me, so I got out of the car and went over. Turns out the guy who owns the place rents a shop off D/i/Laws father and most of these guys work for him or have done from time to time.

Well after interpreted introductions we we treated like long lost relatives, my poor arm was shaken so much it hurt and its the first time I have been hugged by so many big burly men, and I don't intend to make a habit of it now before you say anything.

Having got over that shock it turns out her father is head of 2 freemason lodges and we were invited to one of their meals after whatever freemasons do and met the top business men in San Paulo.

D/I/law was asked to be one of the 6 governors of Sao Paulo but turned it down, not that she wanted to ,but afraid of the drug barons and not doing what they wanted, she might well have suddenly gone missing.

The country itself is really beautiful from what I saw of it, its some of the population is the problem
