Making A Client Happy

I've been shooting for a client looking to fill his house with scenic photographs taken in Oregon. He has hired a decorator who is a friend of mine and who has seen a lot of my work. Jason laid out the requirements as 16"x20" prints with strong earth tones or dynamic seascapes. He needs a wide range of subjects so his client can choose the 16 needed prints. Jason will be handling the matting & frames. I've been driving all over the place taking very specific shots. It's difficult getting away from the natural 20"x30" proportions coming right out of my D7000 or D800. Sometime a natural crop is easy, sometimes impossible. I hope the payoff is worth all the effort. Samples below:

Re: Making A Client Happy

I have sold my photos in over 20 years. I've been working with my friend, Jason, to find clients that are looking for photos. We haven't even talked about money yet. Jason is a real pro so I'm sure he will want to make his client happy while making a profit from his business. His reputation is on the line as well. This would be an exciting way for me to get my work recognized. Jason was insistant about my name being easily recognizable on each print. If you look on the bottom right hand corner of each print your see it.

Well done Bob

I think I've seen most of these ones before. As for the ratio - It's not easy when you have to adapt existing shots but it must be lovely having the freedom to venture out and take some new shots in the knowlege that it isn't just for your own enjoyment.

Re: Making A Client Happy

Thank you. I just had a meeting with the client who was Wowed by my portfolio designed for her needs. I'll be printing a minimum of (24)16"x20" prints. That will yield me more than I paid for my Nikon D800. Go Bob!!!
