Norwich bridges and lanes

We did an 8.5 mile walk today, sheltering between the showers, based on the R Wensum. Vary varied from the countryside into the very heart of the City. I apologise for it being quite a big set, but I have cut it down a lot.

1) Cow Tower, part of the old city defences based on a big loop in the river.

2) The flowers in the bottom left are on a narrow balcony for the pub clients.

3) The Cathedral dominates the skyline.

4) The old and the new. The castle in the background contains the original Norman keep.

5) The Millenium Bridge framing one of Norwich's many churches.

6) The Cathedral School's playing fields.

7) The oldest bridge over the River.

8) The Town Hall in the background.

9) Another river crossing.

10) Elm Hill.

11)

12)

13) The Castle in the background.

Thank you for staying with me this long.

Re: Norwich bridges and lanes

10 was taken just after a particularly heavy shower. Elm Hill really is very nice.

Re: Norwich bridges and lanes

There are some fantastic shot in this series Richard, it's a shame about the white skies in a few, but this is the price we pay in this country.

7, 10 and 9 are my pick, thanks for posting.

Re: Norwich bridges and lanes

Thanks for the kind comments. A nice bright warm day would have helped. No 10 was taken quickly whilst still the odd spit of rain in the air. As you can see the cobbles are wet.
