portrait of my daughter 
while my lense is being repairs i been using my old camera F55 with ilford black+white film (was in there for ages!!)lol
apart from too much space at the top in this portrait ,i am really pleased with it !

BW photogrpahy can be realy difiicult to do, The tonal ranges are massive, but basically you should be going frm white, right through to black, otherwise they can look flat. More light on the side of her face will give a better definition and add more shadows and highlights and prevent it looking a little "flat"

i know what you mean KK , i did this lovely one outside but didnt like the shadow by her nose and eyes lol and even the picture still look flat thought it might have been the film .will have to do alot of practicing

Midday shooting is awful! The sun is high and cast shadows down - Try to get shadows off to the side, especially when it comes to noses! This one has some nice shadows

ah i forgotten the midday rule that day 
! i was in a rush with this one as i wanted to finish the film before my daughter borrowed the camera for the day
