Bird of Prey Centre
We had a 1/2 bird of prey experience today. Absolutely fantastic. I handled a number of birds and took 360 shots. Here are just a few I like.
1) A rare shot of Di, my wife, with an American Bald Eagle, juv.

4) Sth American Condor and Red Kite with one of the Falconers.
5) Yours truly with a European Eagle Owl.

The Eagle Owl, called Humpty, was very interested in a pigeon flitting around. The Bald Eagle made my arm ache after a while. We flew an American Kestrel, a Barn Owl and a Harris Hawk. They really are superbly designed predators. There were only 8 in our group and the Falconer John really good. An experience not to be forgotten. To see those eyes, beaks and talons so close up, WOW.

Number 6 for me - lovely portrait and one which could have been taken outwith a bird centre.
