Vista House at Sunset

I finally made it back to the Portland Women's Forum to photograph Vista House at sunset. I took over 80 frames over a 3 hour period. I used my D800 and a Nikkor 70-300mm F/4.0-5.6G lens on my Manfrotto tripod.

Re: Vista House at Sunset

You & most of the members of this forum, have made it clear you hate frames & borders. I'm not posting special shots without them just to please you. I like them, as do the other 6 forums where I post.

Re: Vista House at Sunset

Personally, I don't mind a border as long as it enhances the image, Bob. In this case it does. A stunning image.

Could you do me a kindness and humour me?.......by putting a transparent border on the picture and post the results?

There is a post on YOP somewhere about using 'strokes' in photoshop that should point the way.

Re: Vista House at Sunset

Stunning shot Bob

Have to agree about the border, as I tend to prefer subtle ones - especially when an image is as beautiful as this one

Re: Vista House at Sunset

I like this image very much Bob, such awesome depth etc, really lovely - but I too think the border detracts from it because it's so fussy! A simple black border - thin and simple may have been much more successful if you wanted to have a border on there In the end, it's your call, but I'd say it looks better without too.
