A quiet pasture scene

Now the thunder was louder and rain started to fall...I then got my GPS thingy out ang headed home the shortes way....through downpours that filled the ditches along the road and flowed over the road...most vehicles pulled off to wait for the storm to pass but as the road was now empty I went on but at 45 mph so the puddles on the road didn't throw me off..I saw 2 cars in the ditches that must have lost it when water pulled them off...in places water was flowing all the way across the road...in one place lightning was like a curtain over the road and I drove through that too...I can handle nature, just not traffic by humans! We expect more rain storms today...the outer edges of Tropical Storm Ernesto...Shirley

Really like that first, there's something quite different about it - love those trees!

Re: A quiet pasture scene

THe trees are Live oak with Spanish moss drapeing them...the cattle will eat any that hangs low enough for them to reach. Thanks Richard and Zoundz for commenting..Shirley

Re: A quiet pasture scene

Ken, the trees and the hanging moss was wet and clumpy from the wind...the usual picture of Spanish moss shows it airy and lightly swaying to any air movement but it gets soaked sometimes and looks different. Shirley

Re: A quiet pasture scene

Lovely photos Shirley and amazing trees, incredible how a pasture in the states can be so different to a pasture in the UK.
