My big surprise!

I saw a nice lake and turned a corner to get a photo but traffic stopped me...I went on and made a few more turns and came to the end of the road i was on..which way to turn? I decided quickly when I saw these...

Impala! Course I turned that way...and saw..

So I followed the 10 foot fencing for over 2 miles with one pasture after another...most I saw nothing in them but being as big as the fields were the critters most likely were just out of sight as the grass looked eaten... then I saw..

I turned around and went back to where I started and beyond another 2 miles of 10 foot fencing..all the photos here are taken through the fence...

I think these are different kinds of zebras..looked different to me...the sky was looking threatening and could hear thunder so after two passes by this place I went on toward home..Shirley

Re: My big surprise!

Interesting looking wildlife park - is it perhaps a rescue or similar?

Re: My big surprise!

That was the surprise it is just like a cattle ranch but with African grazing animals...Had a name on the main gate and I searched the net for a web site but found nothing about it. Had a huge main house off on a hill and several small houses behind animal pens...all very neat and clean...as you can see the animals are fat and sleek looking. Might be a breeding farm for them...all three gates were iron and closed tight. Shirley
