A few iconic images of Sydney

I recently had an overnight stay in Sydney and managed to get off a few shots.

Here is the Harbour Bridge or the Coathanger as it is referred to locally;

This fairground is situated under the Bridge. You can see it almost centre frame in the image above;

This is the Opera House;

I am a bit dissapointed with this one because of the lens flare, but on the other hand maybe it adds something to the image ??

EFS 55-250 IS II

Really like no 1, reminds me of the Tyne Bridge.

Re: A few iconic images of Sydney

Hi Gav-12

Just realised you are from Brisbane , My mother lives in Cordalba , nr Brisbane .

I have not a clue how near it is to Brisbane .

Re : Photography ... I would love to see larger images and without the border ( sorry I don't think the border compliments the images at all ) . Of course this only my personal choice for a man who is now approaching 60 and been shooting since my early teens .

When you have never been somewhere it is lovely to the places through other photographers shots , so go on make them bigger .

Thanks Roy

Re: A few iconic images of Sydney

@Otta
Sorry, I have not heard of Cordalba so can't help there.
Thanks for the feedback on the borders. i guess its a carry over form my old cameral club days where everything had to be mounted and matted.
I'm not sure how to make the images larger but I will give it a go with my next post.

Re: A few iconic images of Sydney

The lighting on number 3 Gav is superb and whilst I know what you say about dissapointment with the lens flare (I think becuase it is such a classy shot in my opinion), for me it's all part and parcel of photogragphy and to be accepted as a natural part of the process not disruptive or a negative.

Interesting set.

I like the last one and I think the flare works well. Very dark and moody.
