Morning walk, with snail.

In total contrast (pun intended) to yesterday, today we had lots of sunlight. And so I found these...not much, but at silly o'clock it is the best I could do

This little...darling...followed us the entire walk, screeching and swearing at us. Such immoderate language! I had to cover Willow's ears!

And finally, although I can't afford to give you all real ones, please have the next best, a faux string of pearls

I'm off to have a camera shoved into my shoulder today (I'm told it is entirely as painful as it sounds...) so I may either have a bit of time on my hands...well, one of them anyway, to actually try editing this stuff over the weekend.

Thanks for looking

Re: Morning walk, with snail.

How did you find the snail? Is it a big guy?
I can find lots of Apple Snail eggs but never the apple snail! Shirley

Re: Morning walk, with snail.

He was about an inch from wobblynoselikethingy to tail, and I spotted him only because since I got the new camera I've been sticking my head into all sorts of places, unwanted and uninvited just hoping to find a pic. I stuck my head in as he was sticking his out. I think his expression says the rest

He's not an Apple Snail however, as far from being in water he was in a Japanese Laurel about 2 feet up in the air nearly 1/2 a mile from the nearest stream. He's just a common gastropod out for an early morning stroll.
