IS the third one a Galinule? We have one like that but with the nose patch red and call it a Moorhen, Swamp Chicken or Purple Galinule...a member of the Rail family....I have found a pair raising their kids at the park...but they generally are in and under the thicker grass and willows at the water's edge. No Shirley, close but not a Galinule Galinules are actually better looking

This is a Coot, a bird which is in the same family as Moorhens and Galinules. All part of the water rail family

The last one says to me "This necking lark is just a pain in the..."

Was about to say, the coot is a sort of gallinule isn't it? Or very closely related anyway
