Rainbow

A piccy I took of a rainbow over Loch Carron after a rain shower.

Apart from cropping it - nothing's been done but I thought it might be a good one to try and do something with in photoshop. Any suggestions or examples appreciated.

Actually ...it's a double rainbow if you look carefully Love the bit over the water ..fabulous!

Okay a tweak here or there very quickly ...pretty sure someone else will do much better. I just altered the colouring slightly to bring out the blue, added a bit of contrast and shadow..

Funny you should say that - if you crank up the saturation the 2nd rainbow comes right out.

I could not spot it at first, melody has sharper eyes than me, used your little trick and can see it.

I have a couple of photos of double rainbows that I will dig out and post.

Good capture Phil, I had a little play with it in elements 5 as I thought it looked a little washed out. I enhanced the blue channel, shadows & highlights and levels, similar to what Melody used also.

Re: Rainbow

Cheers guys - I think it's improved the image having a bit more 'contrast'.

How do you (in photoshop) get the effect where the image is turned to grayscale apart from a single area. I thought perhaps this image could be used as an example but I have a few dog pictures which I'd like to do but keep the eye colour.
