Continuing Lens Test

My second shot with my new Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G lens is with much better light on an overcast day. I'm shooting at ISO 3200 to see the detail & sharpness of the lens. This shot was handheld. I am very pleased with the results. I certainly believe I've got a bargain in this lens.

I wish my 24-70mm F/2.8 was as cheap! That gem cost me $1700 and inexpensive at that price.

Re: Continuing Lens Test

Thats certainly good results with the 70-300 Bob, I know a couple of people with the same lens and they get equally good results..

another friend of mine went for the nikon 55-300 which is also good lens for the money..

Nice picture by the way.

To think that I desperately tried to find a 28-300mm for my D800 at around $1,000. For $138 my 70-300mm will do quite nicely I think.
