Wales 2012 - Dee Valley & Misc
The Beautiful Dee valley, image 1 is the view we had into the Dee valley. Cefn Mawr Viaduct and Ty Mawr Country park.
Image 2 - Ty Mawr Country park
A little further around, if you follow the canal you come upto Froncysyllte Aquaduct. Not as high as the viaduct but still high enough for me not to walk across it, especially with one pup in hand and expensie camera equipment in other hand. There is only a narrow pathway across it.
Its another location where i could not get in the right place to take the images. These 2 were the best of a bad bunch.
A little artwork on the canal not far from the Aquaduct.
Back to Wrexham for this one, and to the 2nd highest landmark in Wrexham. The Soames brewery Chimney. Built in 1894 and stands at 120 feet high. Was put up for auction and sold on Ebay for £1420 in October 2011.
Sitting above Llangollen is Dinas Bran Castle, or whats left of it. It is said to of had a short life. The most reliable sources say the castle was built by the son of Madog ap Gruffydd Maelor I in 1260. It was destroyed 17 years later in a fire that had been set on purpose to stop Edward I getting hold of the castle.

Very good time Ken, weather was great upto Tuesday night, although Weds was okay after the showers cleared away, and Thursday spent dodging the showers but still a good day
