Natures Beauty with a hint of colour

The rain is lashing against the window, I'm listening to some classical music while I relax with one of my favourite pastimes.

Best viewed large.

Re: Natures Beauty with a hint of colour

Thanks Fogey, although I quite like the selective colour shot, I prefer the full colour version, it's a great shot

Re: Natures Beauty with a hint of colour

I'm not a huge fan of selective colour photographs so (purely from a personal view) I prefer the second.

I like the colour and contrast but my only niggle is the compostion - perhaps placing the tree to the left so it leaned into the frame including the shadow and the clipped branches ?

Re: Natures Beauty with a hint of colour

A fair comment, Phil. The shot was taken from a moving train, so I had little time to compose the picture. I could see the potential of the tree in the field passing me at 60mph, so it was a case of point, focus and shoot.

Re: Natures Beauty with a hint of colour

I like boths shots ,the only thing I would of done is clone out the last bit of tree instead of clipping it

Good effective colour popping. It makes the shot more interesting.
