I'm adding new kit
I've just placed my name on the waiting list for a new Nikon D800 body. The camera release day in the United States is March 22, 2012. The camera shop that got my order is Camera World located in Portland, Oregon. I checked with them last weekend to see where I sat on that waiting list. They informed me that 80 customers have placed pre-orders for the camera and that their shop has been promised 200 units in it's first shipment in mid-March. Hopefully that means I'd get my camera by the end of March.
I've also ordered a AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED FX lens to add to my collection. I do have a Nikkor 50mm F/1.4D FX lens already in my bag. I look forward to the new camera as it will quickly become my main camera of choice. I will keep my wonderful Nikon D7000 and a wide selection of DX lenses.

Exciting times Bob, I must admit the specs of the D800 are very appealing. But I shall not be jumping ship as I have to much money in Canon glass.

Jols - it's good to see you're still with the site. I'll try to add only my newest photos since leaving but there may be some overlap.
KenT - I understand the need to stick with investments made in glass. That's why I'm adding a Nikkor 24-70mm F/2.8 as my first FX lens. I am also hanging onto my D7000 with my Nikkor 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 VRII, The Nikkor 80mm F/3.5 VRII Micro and my latest Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8. I'll have two excellent camera bodies and an assortment of fast glass. The Tokina is a marvelous lens by the way.
