Springs on its way

I know we are only at the end of February but if today`s weather is anything to go by Spring is truly on its way. This is one of 3 different color Crocus`s i had planted last Sept/Oct, only 2 of this color have flowered up to now, and 13 yellows. not sure why unless pups have eaten the others, or trampled on them before they flowered, this one was on its lonesome.
Thankfully the rest of the bulbs i had planted are not due to flower for a few weeks yet, by which time the garden should be more flower/dog friendly, its having a little makeover right now so all being well all my hard work will pay off

Re: Springs on its way

Thanks Dave, Cakey and Ken

Taken using the nifty 50, image has been cropped but light was so good yesterday that it has retained the detail.
Dave, this is one of 4 different flowers i planted last year, i am hopeless most of the time when it comes to naming them, all i know i planted Crocus, Muscari, Iris and something else, cant remember off the top of my head

Re: Springs on its way

Haha thanks Brian, not my favorite thing either, hoping there will be less work needed once its well established. When we had garden done up 3 years ago we went for minimalistic, so a few plants and dwarf conifers. Now i want to turn it into a wildlife garden again
