Home studio setup with end result

As promised I have taken some Images of my lighting setup with my home studio.
The final Image may not be to everyones taste but I prefer different expressions when it come to portraits rather than the norm.

This Is our living room before I start

The setup. The wifes nightmare I moved the 50" westcott to the side so you can all see. It will be placed in the butterfly lighting position .

The end result. Best seen on black http://www.flickr.com/photos/7220749...ream/lightbox/
In this Image I changed the lighting setup slightly. I turned the left vivitar 285 off and remember that I have the westcott (main light) in position for the butterfly lighting, you can see that in her eyes.

Re: Home studio setup with end result

Thanks David.
I use one of my textures and change the blend mode to what i think works at the time.
I then just brush out the unwanted texture or create a mask if i have a lot of work to do on an image.

Re: Home studio setup with end result

Very informative and great end result. Can you picture textures yourself and then use those (like in your background here) by just changing the transparency?

Re: Home studio setup with end result

Explains the excellent quality of your photos Jonni, something i tried once at my local camera club, and i found it to be a lot more involved than just switching on lights and pointing a lens in the general direction.
