Getting into shape

Tried to take advantage of the freshly laid snow we had last night and see if i could manage to capture some snow flake shapes. Not a major success as snow had settled somewhat since last night, but managed these.

They dont really view well at this size, full screen suits them better

Re: Getting into shape

Was not too happy with the originals so tight cropped and reprocessed the images. Some shapes are showing but not as well as i would of hoped.......

Re: Getting into shape

Mark...put some polythene down ( preferably on a bright surface like a deck chair) then put a thin layer of water over it and take your macro lense out in the morning and see what you get.....this is a seriously good tip from a mate on another forum ( sorry! )

Unless you are due a thaw!

Re: Getting into shape

Thanks Sharon, snow thawing this afternoon but ice wise, -7 forecast for tonight.

Would not been so bad if it had snowed again today, but as it was several hours old the snow it was a little more compact than when fresh, any unique shapes were a little too compacted.....

Thanks for the tip though.
