Here are a few shots of old buildings that I have.

I'll start with the oldest, and work forward in time.

Torre de Belém Tower, Lisbon ( 1520 )

Chateau D'If, Marseille ( 1531 )

Grand Central Station ( 1913) &
Chrysler Building ( 1930 )

Thanks Azz! The second of those photos is of a miniature scale model of the tower, with the real tower set in the background. ( Just incase anyone couldn't make it out lol )

Re: Subject of the Week - 12 - Old Buildings

Thanks Phil. The last picture was taken from the top of the NY City Sights bus as we were moving down the street, and I didn't quite get the angle I was looking for. I was hoping for a slight gap between them.

I like Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building. I'm American and I've never seen that perspective before so it really stands out. Also quite adore the "sweet little cottage" in the unpronounceable place.

Nice stuff, all!

Re: Subject of the Week - 12 - Old Buildings

Well, I won't be back from Athens until late on the the 21st (we leave in the morning for a weekend break) so I'll miss the actual week's assignment...but I am taking it - Old Buildings - with me. Where better than Athens?

My old Nikon Coolpix 4500 is out of mothballs (it's technically broken but not worth repairing) and will see what I can do--just to have an assignment!

What fun!
