my first blurred background pic

hi guys

took your tips and this is one of my better efforts?????

i think the bottle could be sharper.

any help greatly received.

could it be the lighting in was indoors today and its very drab outside?

Good effort

The bottle does need to be more in focus... you want your eyes drawn to that and not whats in the background

Yep practice practice practice another way to do it is to manually set the focus on to the bottle... are you using auto focus? also another way i do it is half pres the button down so it focusses on the object i want and then keeping the camera the same distance away i just move the camera up down side to side to get the object i want in focus in a position i want...

for example my "candle light" image (which has its own thread in people on the forum) I wanted the candle in focus but me not in focus... so i moved the candle up so it was infront of my face to get the camera to focus on it and then before pressing the button all the way down i moved the candle so it was lower... but still the same distance away from the camera... does that make sense?? lol i'm hopeless at explaining...
