Raptors and Friends

Just a few of the many birds at the BOP center in Shuttleworth.

19 : A Stork - One of 2 birds at the center not Raptors, the other one being a Kookaburra

Another really good set Mark, love the in flight shots. It looks like you really had a great day out. I was going to take my wife & daughter to this but we ended up doing other things, I wish I had gone to Shuttleworth now after looking at your pictures

Thanks Ken. It is a great day out, especially spending time at the BOP center, i would definitely recommend it. If you do ever go, check out their website beforehand, they do tours where you meet and greet some of the birds, get a chance of having them fly to glove. One thing we did not get to do.
One Bird i wanted to get a shot of inflight was the Red Kite, unfortunately i did not manage to get good photos of it in flight, i added one or 2 to flickr but they are not as good as the owl, eagle in flight shots.

The African white faced scops owls are very cute but then again most owls are When it comes to the other BOP, well they are just a magnificent sight.

Your pictures gave me chill bumps and made the hair stand up on my arms! I LOVE all raptors and owls, esp. barn owls are my favorite! Your thread truely made me happy! Every single picture was very beautiful! I would like it 10000000 times if I could!

Awww thanks Katie. I myself am a great lover of all raptors, the one i really wanted to see though was the Red Kite, i just think they are beautiful, unfortunately i did not get very good pics of the kite in flight, maybe next time
