Old Soldier



Got this old boy walking down the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Then he stoped for a chat

Don't really like number 1, but the second gives a nice impression of his personality. Might be improved if he was looking at the camera but I can imagine what he would be like... some people would be happy to pose after you chatted. Background is out of focus which is good although still a little obtrusive due to the nature of the lettering and colour.

Pictures look a little soft, first is technique, second I think the point of focus is the chest and not the face... Good to see someone snapping candids.

I prefer the second shot, it a little more "up close & personal", the only slight nit is his hat being cut off. A great candid shot

Agree with what's been said already. I think number one could have been excellent if you'd had a slightly different angle and if he'd been in sharp focus.
