Re: Canada's and Chicks

Love that second shot. Nice ensemble with lovely reflections.

The first one is just a little 'disembodied' for me..lol

Re: Canada's and Chicks

Noooo...don't bin it on my account...good grief!

Perhaps it's just my sense of humour but I look at it and think, hand puppet...a la Rod Hull and Emu. lol

Ha!

I never saw him!

Actually the family were grazing and I got a bit close and dad popped his head up for a look.... They were in long grass!

Much like me

Re: Canada's and Chicks

I think the second is a bit on the dark side, and doesn't have much punch - perhaps some more editing could bring it out a bit more? The first one is a bit disembodied, and the eye is not the strongest focus in the shot, so it's slightly less pleasing in that respect. The blown whites don't help overly with that either. Perhaps tone the whites down a bit and sharpen up the eye? That could help

Re: Canada's and Chicks

Thanks Zoundz. My photography of late has been suffering, for various reasons.

Just lately my ability to get a steady hold has deteriorated, to the point when I seem to get one shot in ten in focus.

I won't go into the reasons, but I know things will get back to normal soon. Probably for the time being I will only post shots in "Sharing" because I know I'm not up to scratch.

Re: Canada's and Chicks

My daughter and I were feeding lots of these geese the other evening, they seem to look right into your eye.

Anyway nice catch Dave, I hope you took them some old bread
