The hand is the original hand
Escher M.C. - Hand with Globe
I created a Hue/Saturation layer and colourised it. I then did the same again, but with the saturation slightly lower and lightness up a little. I then masked out the bits i wanted the darker more saturated colour.

It is a great image you have there.
...but...correct me if I am wrong here, shouldn't the image seen through the glass ball be inverted?
