A few more 'natural' ratty pics.

Would love people to have a look at these and tell me what they think? I'm always keen to know what makes people think 'awww' with the rats, and gets them interested

1. Was going for the 'jailed' feel with this - as Dean is currently in solitary confinement waiting to be neutered. He's a very miserable, hormonal rescue

2. and in colour:

3. Victor looking handsome:

4. Flash and Victor having a cuddly moment :

Re: A few more 'natural' ratty pics.

3 and 4 are fantastic, my wife spotted a young rat with big ears at the Pet centre and wanted to buy it, but I put my foot down as we have so many cats in the house.

Not just that, but the places petshops get them from are just awful - always go to a good breeder because petshops are just horrendous they source the animals from rodent mills, kind of like puppy farms and of course, they hate to be alone too

Re: A few more 'natural' ratty pics.

Number 3 is great. I'll try and get some shot of our Gerbil. She's on her own now after Misty died. I tried to slowly introducing young to her but it didn't work. Poor little critter. In a huge palace but alone.
She seems to have got used to the idea over the months. Still likes to dig and make a mess and still eating which is good.

Re: A few more 'natural' ratty pics.

Gerbils are a lot harder to introduce than rats in my experience. Rats are fairly easy if you're confident. Occasionally you find an exception *eyes Dean suspiciously* - poor Dean currently *hates* other rats sooo, we're working on the softly softly approach, and if that fails, then he's going to the vet for a snip job!

Re: A few more 'natural' ratty pics.

These are great.

I think the b&w shot is my favourite - works really well and the 'jailed' theme you were suggesting comes accross well.

The last one is very 'aww' indeed.
