Nice first post Daisy, the nifty fifty is a very good little lens by all accounts. I have not tried one myself yet, but it always seems to punch above it's weight when compared to other 50mm lenses and your shot bears this out.

Thanks..I didn't have a tripod so I threw myself into the nearby hedge and used it as human velcro. lol
