North Falls Revisited

Sometimes, after a period has passed, I'll return to a photograph that I particularly like and edit it again from the RAW file. I've learned so much more about post processing since I originally took the picture that I almost always improve on my original rendition. I have the photo of North Falls as my desktop wallpaper and long to return again for another attempt at capturing it. I own a better camer and collection of lenses now as well as the ability to shoot HD video. There's something about the roar of the water that makes it more exciting to recall the experience of being there.

Re: North Falls Revisited

Very nice Bob.

Certainly a lesson for anybody that shoots RAW to keep the files tucked away for a rainy day.

I've loads of old images that I look at now and think 'yuck' and wish I still had the original to go back to.

Also for people who do a lot of PP - trends come and go so it's nice to be able to go back and do something a little more in keeping with the day.

Re: North Falls Revisited

I agree Phil. This image was taken with my D90 which has good enough resolution to enlarge nicely should I choose to do so. As I'm mentioned in the past I never stop learning. Revisiting nicely captured images in RAW format lets me apply new skills, new graphic software, new plug-ins. The end result is always better than my orginal edit.
