Axel (Greyhound)

A portrait I took today. I'm fairly happy with it but am open to ideas on how it can be improved...he was off-lead so I couldn't have his muzzle off.

Kit 1
Nikon D5100
Nikon VR 18-55 AF
Nikon VR 55-200 AF
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ8

Re: Axel (Greyhound)

Colour picked black, white and grey in Photoshop 'Levels' and darkened a tad.
Sharpened using unsharp mask and warmed the image up using 'Vivesa' plugin.

Kit 1
Nikon D60
Nikkor 18-55mm
Tamron 300mm
Sigma 400mm

Re: Axel (Greyhound)

I have never worked with Gimp BG, so I can't help you. However, there are versions of Photoshop elements for as little as £40.

Look here

Re: Axel (Greyhound)

As a portrait, I would have preferred the muzzle removed but understand the reason for not removing it.

This dog reminds of a lovely dog I saw/met yesterday while sorting a clients PC problems out. It was a rescue dog and had such a friendly temperament.
