Caldy beach

We go here a LOT! I love the light and the space (and the dog loves the mud but that's another story.)
I would love to be able to just capture the place properly in a photo...when the tide is out the beach seems endless...until it runs into North Wales!!
I love it. I don't think I have captured it properly yet though so any help would be gratefully received.

My new camera is able to do panoramic shots too so that's new to me...this was one of my first attempts.

like the Panoramic shot the best.

The first thing that springs to my eye, Rambler, is that the horizons are sloping slightly in both pictures. This is easily remedied in post processing.

Again, I do not know what camera it is you have, so it is difficult for me to give any constructive feed-back, but the photos seem to be monochromatic on my screen. Is that intended?

One thing I will say is, that when taking photos of this sort, set the camera to Landscape and focus on the foreground, (the pre-set DOF (Depth of Field) setting should take care of the sharpness in the background.

Other than that a nice set of pics. Well done.

Thanks... in what way?!!! It's an upgrade for me from our old point and shoot and I am loving the pics it has produced so far...I just want to get the very best I can from it, so probably need to understand it better.

I was particularly impressed with the panorama function. Just click and sweep, even on moving subjects - amazing!

Also the low light feature for night shots.
