NO Blown Sky - Wohoo! (And pic heavy walk pictures)

Took the chance for some quiet time with Axel the other day. It was a lovely walk, he was again really good off lead and had a great romp
I was really pleased with the exposure of a lot of these and happy to finally have some un-blown sky - and I totally understand why that's important now, I think the colours look lovely with a blue sky

Good work on the exposures here. Next you might want to try selective editing to bring out more detail in your subject against that white background. Example below:

18mm Fujinon
35mm Fujinon
60mm Fujinon
18-55 Fujinon
55-200mm Fujinon

How did you do that Bob? Was it contrast/shadows?

Re: NO Blown Sky - Wohoo! (And pic heavy walk pictures)

Using Photoshop I duplicated the original layer, CTRL-J, I changed the blend mode to SCREEN, masked the top layer, Selected the top layer mask, CTRL-Left Click, then erased everything but the dog with a black paint brush. That puts the background back to its proper exposure and the doggie lightened. Repeat if necessary after merging the layers. I did it twice.
