Re: Few pics - what do you think?

Perhaps go for a very tight crop? I like the last too - but the background is a problem. Try to make sure you're always avoiding 'bad backgrounds' where you can

Some nice shots here, main thing seems to be slight white balance issues - but without knowing your camera, I'm not able to help much!

thank you , camera was a samsung p&s thing not quite sure but its broken now !
do try to think about backgrounds, but i really like the pose she was doing and couldnt see much other way around it... she had to go and lay down with all that clutter behind her!

Re: Few pics - what do you think?

I like how you're going low and experimenting DD composition is half the story imo so glad you're paying attention to that.

Be sure to check out our Photography Basics guides too (they're in the sticky thread in this section).

Re: Few pics - what do you think?

As for backgrounds, I think having an object in a suitable environment can be very good too I do actually really like the background on the first shot too. Of course in an ideal world the flowers wouldn't be growing out of her head and the exposure on the dog would be correct. Still, it's all a learning curve, and certainly, you seem to be keeping things in mind when taking a photo, which is, of course, important!

Re: Few pics - what do you think?

It's always a bit daunting when you first start shooting & posting your first pictures, it especially hard to shoot pets around the house with a point and shoot as the back ground will almost always be in focus, although you have tried to apply some softness in editing. Once you get an DSLR you will have more control over things, although there will be more to think about as well, but this will start to fall into place with time and practice. Keep looking at other peoples work, but most of all keep clicking

BTW Number six is my fav, I love the expression.

Yes, it wasn't really possible to have an out of focus background and the editing isn't very good...
