The Devine Miss M, and the other one :)

The dogs had a domestic yesterday, no biggie, but enough to make me yell Oi! and Mack go and sulk in another room, for about 10 minutes
These were shot in two different rooms, so the light is a bit different for both dogs, all shot with my 50mm, natural light.

Da Boss Lady

Here she is pondering life B.M (before Mack)

The Sulker, taking it out on a tennis ball, it looks like diffused glow, but haven't added any, but I have never taken any pics in this room before, so could just be the light, and my 50mm combined. Not sure of wall colour either (it's a swatch of paint on the walls, trying to decide on a colour for the dining room)

these are random outakes....

Meg with back to light, casting her into shadow, I love it, but maybe because it's my dog, dunno?

And this one, shows why we call him Slinky Malinky, he clocked something outside, so then slunk crouched down towards the window, trying to be sneaky, not realising how silly he looked as he's blowing his coat, so he looks like a fuzz ball at the backend, honestly, I am brushing himcaptured half stood up,half laying down.

Re: The Devine Miss M, and the other one :)

Lovely shots Moonie - simple, uncluttered and great light.

My only change would have been to use the eye as the focus point for number 2 but you may well have gone for the nose on purpose.

Re: The Devine Miss M, and the other one :)

Thanks Phil, I totally agree about no2, it was one of those images that looks great on the LCD, and then the eyes weren't as sharp as the nose on the monitor, I thought the focus fall off was more at her ears when I took it. I liked her expression though, it does make her squishy nose, look more kissable too

It's okay, and I can lie and say I was going for the nose being the main focus point xx

Re: The Devine Miss M, and the other one :)

Nice work

I personally prefer #2, I really like the dof. I have take a few like that of my pup, varying between just the eyes or just the nose in focus makes a nice change and work well as a set.
