Rowan Gorilla VII - Dundee

Managed to nip down to the Stannergate Docks in Dundee this afternoon for some very quick 'park and shoot' shots of the Rowan Gorilla rig. I'd hoped for some decent close wide angles but the only place near enough unfortunately involved shooting straight up into the sun. Managed a few silhouettes but not had any time to give them the PP tweaks they're needing.

Dceided the best bet was to head up to the top of Dundee Law instead and try to get some shots of it in relation to Dundee instead.

Wow, very impressive structure, has to be no3 for me too, gives you a human element to the image, but still shows how it towers over it's surroundings.

Re: Rowan Gorilla VII - Dundee

Now if they let out the rooms you would get a room with a view. Out of interest I wonder if they are letting out staff quarters while its in dock, great money earner if they do.

Re: Rowan Gorilla VII - Dundee

Thanks for the comments folks.

Bazza - with the wind we've had over the last 24hrs - I'd not want a room.

Re: Rowan Gorilla VII - Dundee

I like 3, but I also like the first one - the flats in the foreground give a really good comparison of the height of the rig which I don't think you get nearly as much from either of the other two.
