Re: Juvenile Blue Tit

Oh wow! these are really, really great!
Really nice to see them in foilage, just love the second one, guess you have figured out, how to keep the cats away then? Nice compositions too, and the colours and clarity are wonderful.

Thanks Moonie - Because of the way I've built & positioned the feeders I think the cats learned pretty quickly that it wasn't worth the effort. To be fair Bramble was the worst with birds but she's dead now no not a problem. I've provided a few wispy plants and branches which are too delicate for the cats to climb but strong enough for the birds. I'm slowly getting to grips with where they land and how long they stay etc.

Emma - Settings were:

1&2 - 1/800 / f5.6 / ISO 400 / 370mm
3&4 - 1/4000 / f5.6 / ISO 400 / 320mm (fast as I was shooting them flying)

Re: Juvenile Blue Tit

Thanks for the reply Phil. I knew it had to be really close up or really far away depending on the attitude & temperament of the bird.
