New Flickr... thoughts??

What do you think of the new Flickr layout??

It looks tidier when viewing pictures, wish they had the option of a black background instead of white.

I like the sharing button, so you can blog etc, share pics immediately.

I do miss the code under each size, it seems you can find the html code for the original size, in one click, under the share panel, but I can't find the codes for all the sizes,so that's a bit annoying, as I never post the original size on the web etc.

I do really like the bigger size images on your homepage, and it does look more sleeker

Re: New Flickr... thoughts??

Mine went 'new' last night when I selected the 'show me the future' message - after a few mins confusion I clicked 'remind me later' so it now just looks the same as it always did.

Re: New Flickr... thoughts??

Actually, changing my mind, I really like the new design, after a little play, really like the feature of clicking on an image, and you then get a good sized slideshow of all the photos in the photostream, with a dark lightbox.

Found the different sized picture html code now, I think I prefer it, it's slicker, more streamlined, and th efirst home page pics are much bigger.

Going to resist the "remind me later" button for now, and carry on exploring.

Re: New Flickr... thoughts??

Glad to hear you've sussed it Moon.

I'm just hoping that 'remind me later' doesn't mean some time next year as I no longer see an option for venturing into 'the future'

Oops! maybe you will be in the dark ages, while I head into Flickr Future I do love the new slideshow feature, it's much slicker than the old one.

Where is the direct links for each image size though?
Overall I like it, though I'd prefer the title back at the top, but not being able to quickly get the image link without either rummaging through image properties or the html code is very annoying.

Re: New Flickr... thoughts??

Go to the Share this drop down menu,

Then the Grab html, then choose what size image you want the code or look above the Grab HTML, and it gives you the link code, I am assuming that is for the medium sized image. will try on here.......

Okay, it works

Re: New Flickr... thoughts??

I never used to use the httml code, I use the image link - not the one that takes you to its flickr page the one that gives you just the image with nothing else (the 'farm' one).
I seriously can't see that anywhere.

Re: New Flickr... thoughts??

Can you point me to exactly where it is because I really really can't see it.
Under share this link I can only see Html and a link to the flickr page. I can get the img link from the middle of the html code, but I can't see it anywhere by itself.
If I go to 'all sizes' there is no share option at all.
