Big Cat - Fractal

Just playing about with a Fractal plugin for Photoshop. I've seen some amazing results done using it but here's my very quick attempt with one of my old big cat pics.

That's pretty neat Phil - will have to give it a whirl!

I do really like the first one, did try this on some flowers, it was a bit trippy

I love the 3d effect it creates.

I prefer the first one as well, it is an interesting effect but I do have a feeling I may prefer the original.

The original was pretty rubbish Snapper - full of peoples reflection's in the glass and out of focus. I just used it to have a play with the fractal thing.

As I said - some of the examples are really good - mine aren't - but I'll give it another go when I've more time.

Think these plug ins are great to play with but like a jigsaw once you have done it the appeal goes for a good few months and then you enjoy another go. I think this is an interesting image and I meant I would prefer a shot of a tiger as it is but accept they both have a place.

Ok I own up, I have never heard of "fractal" photos let alone a Photoshop plug in for it. So first impressions of Phils pictures are yes I like them. Now that is something you don't often hear me say, but I think one could easily get bored doing too many shots like this.

You're right Bazza - like any 'effect' you could get bored easily.

Fractalius (is it's name) seems to have a zillion variables though from the subtle to the down right whacky so is worth a look for anybody who likes to just get a bit creative once in a while.
