Another candid.

Another from the same day although a different 'young man' (don't think his missus was too pleased at being photographed though).

Re: Another candid.

Yep, good shot, takes a nerve to point a camera at a guy like that. I'd be tempted to crop the space to the left, shame about the blown highlights, but right up my street for the style and subject matter. Well done.

Re: Another candid.

Great shot, not sure if he is sniffing or snorting but I am amazed at your courage.

It is amazing what you can shoot on our streets I do wish I had the ability and the confidence.

One of the other forums I frequent has a member who takes shots of the homeless and they are amazing and heart-wrenching, he does however ask permission, not sure I could even do that.

Re: Another candid.

Hi Jackie,

If I do get confronted, and it happens, I show them the picture and offer to delete it. I also had some cards printed with just my name and email address, which I sometimes give people and tell them to email me and I will send back a picture.

I will admit, though, taking photo's of aggressive looking Hells Angels does carry something of a risk............. get the adrenalin flowing though

O'ooh! Jeff, think I would loose the power of speech to say nothing of the danger of incontinence

Re: Another candid.

I used to work in the public sector and must admit the ones the look the scariest usually are the friendlist often I thought to myself oh gawd he's gonna be trouble, but turned out to be quite the opposite. Looks can be so deceptive

Re: Another candid.

I have been threatened on the street twice properly and have had a few comments, sometimes from idiots who just see me taking picture rather than are my subject matter. But that is after a lot of going into town deliberately to find pictures. Leicester has more than it's fair share of morons and wasters. Just out of interest Jeff where are you, it says on your profile 'Midlands'.

One guy was a moron and kicked off with some abuse and I had to tell him to be nice and go away. He clearly wasn't used to being confronted back as he looked very handy and I suspect was a bit of a face in his own pond. The other guy chose the option to be nice, lie down quietly and not get in my way when I am working I don't take kindly to being physically acosted and would sooner have walked away if I had a choice. I appreciate people don't go looking to be photographed but I do find faces interesting. Street photography does come with risk.
