Re: Lora and David

Wow! Really unusual comopositions. Number 1 and 3 do it for me, because they are so different to the norm.

Re: Lora and David

Number 2 is my favourite. It is strong with plenty of interest but no distractions for the story.
I love the idea of number 3, but I think it would be more successful with a cleaner piece of water. I think there is too much going on with dead grass and pond weed. It is such a great idea though and I bet that would be fab in the right location.

Re: Lora and David

Interesting shots Jeff.

Agree with little me about number 3 - I like reflection shots but that particular area of water isn't perhaps the best.

My favourites are:

Number 1 - I do like these alternative focus type shots.
Number 4 - Very intimate and natural plus the gritty mono works well.

Re: Lora and David

Thanks Phil, there seems to be different opinions regarding #3, I personally like the sort of 'voyeuristic' feel to the shot, something which may be lost if the reflection was clear and sharp. If I get the chance I may do it again and compare the difference.

I suppose this is what makes photography interesting, what one person likes another may not. Drawing comment is what it is all about.
