First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

Well this camera is a different ball game (geddit?) to the 40D. The tracking of moving subjects is superb, so sensitive though, I turned it down to slow for these shots. I know they are a bit bright, but not a cloud in the sky and as I say, first shots. High speed shooting is like a machine gun!! I have done nothing other than crop and add copyright, slight sharpen on a couple. This is a dog Im boarding.

Thanking yous all for looking.

Re: First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

Nice crisp action shots Dawn!

Number 3's so funny, esp if you remove the ball and change the background to the dog falling from somewhere

Which lens did you use btw?

Re: First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

Its amazing how they really look if you freeze the action.

I used the 120-400mm Sigma lens, works admirably in decent light.

Yeah looks like a nice lens

Have you re-uploaded the pics? I'm seeing pink in the whites in 3 and 4 now - can't remb seeing it before, unless it's the light in my room playing tricks..

No Azz, but I can see it, and I cant see it on the ones on my monitor, could it be imageshack? Or should I upload again? Seems weird.

Re: First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

I can see it very slightly on no'4 if I enlarge the image, but it certainly is very different on here. Thanks for pointing it out.

Re: First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

Very nice and sharp Dawn, really great action shots.

Cute little dog too

(I can see the slight magenta Azz is talking about,on 3 and 4, on the back in 3 and rump on 4,but the others look spot on, so I am guessing it could be your picture hosting, not the real picture ) xxxx

Re: First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

Cheers Suzy. Im looking through the manual at present, Im wondering if the highlight tone priority would have any effect? It was set to high. Although they dont look too bad on my monitor. More reading........

Re: First 7D shots. Bouncey Dog!!

The highlights look fine on my monitor, not overblown considering new camera, white dog, bright sunshine, I thought you had done brilliant! I think it could be your photo host as no3, doesn't seem to have such a magenta hue now.

All the images I am seeing with this camera on the internet, are very impressive, looks like a great piece of kit xx
