Eurasian Eagle-Owl

Just a couple of shots taken today. Perhaps it was the frostbite or the uncontrolable shaking but for whatever reason I was missing everything in the air so these few are the best of a bad bunch.

Re: Eurasian Eagle-Owl

Thanks all.

Grant - Yes - It was the Deer Centre just up the road from where I live. That particular bird is called Amber. I was the only person in the park all day on Monday so the bird man just sat down with me and we had a blether whilst he gave the birds a fly. Amber stood on the bench beside us and just as the man told me to mind my hat (which was on the table) - whoosh !

My 300mm lens is on it's last legs and it wasn't ever the best. Using a fast shutter speed is just a none starter hence I settled for blurry wings.

Re: Eurasian Eagle-Owl

Very nice, I really like 4 and 5. The eyes are amazing. I used to have a bengalese eagle owl which looked very similar, beautiful birds.
