Highland Cattle - Mini Ones

Love the first pic, you can just see his eye peeking out from all that hair
Were you at the same distance for the top pic as the bottom, or had you moved in closer, only wondering as I'm thinking of getting a new lens for my camera, and don't know what type to get yet

Not much to this one Rach - just a standard picture - messed about with the brightness & upped the contrast to make it bold enough to be suitable for converting into B&W then used a ridiculous amount of unsharp mask to make the hair turn to 'rope'

I only spotted his eye at the PP stage so I made it a bit more visible and stuck a wee highlight on it to make it stand out a bit. I was much closer for this picture - about an arms length. I couldn't get that kind of detail (with my lens / camera) by zooming or cropping from a shot the distance of the second.
