Hi, the mono conversion is really nice, and the face is evenly lit.
It is a shame that your focus point is her top and not her face, as I think this would of been a really nice shot, because of the angle and her top being much sharper than her face, your eye isn't drawn to her pretty face.

I like the composition and the conversion but agree that it is a bit soft.
You could 'recreate' a bit of focus with some selective sharpening and burning around the eyes.

thank you for very welcomed advise & tip's this was taken un-beknown to her at our local karoke as she normally hid's so i was being sneaky!! she has seen it now though..so i'm pleased it's a nice shot xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It is a nice shot, but I agree that it's soft where it counts - the eyes and face. It's a nice shot in mono too and I do like the angle and composition.
