which is the best and why

It's very hard to say which is better, but the 1st image looks like it's had some unsharp mask applied to it, causing the front forks and helmets of the number 69 team to be a little more defined.

It's so subtle though that it would make choosing a favourite very difficult.

The PP is so minute between the two that there's not much in it

Number one, seems stronger, brighter, sharper etc. Although, they are practically identical (could even be!). I don't think it really matters in this instance because they are so similar

Could do with that white triangle thing being cloned out!

Really weird because on my stupid monitor colours look sharper on the second one!

The brightness and colours of both images are exactly the same.
The only differences are the front forks, and the helmets of team 69 are slightly more defined in the 1st image.

you are right, the colours are just the same, but something about the sharpening of the certain features seems to bring out the richness of the colours.

2 vents on side car show,chrome work and lettering show,wheels are a bit sharper,thank you all for your reply's
