Some Awful photos I took

Been away back up North again but seem to have had the very novice photographers equivalent to writers block. So rather than take up loads of posts I will post them all here and you will see what I mean. I think maybe just maybe one is ok!!

Over Loch Maree (too dark)

Over Loch Maree (too light)

Over Loch Maree (too out of proportion)

Mellon Udrigle quite like this but too much beach

Love this shame it is SOOO out of focus

Mellon Udrigle

And my other posts contain the terrible eagle photos!!!!

Got some of Ben my dog which I will post later

They are just as bad

Ah well it was a good hol anyways!!!

Re: Some Awful photos I took

Ok first off - you do not have any block of any kind the problem your having with exposure is not entirley your fault.

The camera will always expose for one part of the image - either the sky, or the mountains - to get the right exposure you will need to take 2 exposures, one for the subject and one for the sky - then merge in photoshop OR buy a ND filter which will darken the sky and stop it from over exposing.

Your beach shots are a good effort. If your worried about taking a pic with to much beach, shoot from other angles rather than having the sea dead on in front

Thanks K....I have asked Santa for a better camera and the photoshop for dummies book so maybe if I get either then I will be able to make something of shots like these as it really is beautiful up there.

Slioch isn't half has hard as it appears if you come from the Kilochewe end into Gleann Bianasdail and up the south ridge.

Liathach is a whole different box of frogs though. Quite exposed narrow ridge although the pinnacles can be avoided.

Re: Some Awful photos I took

i like your pictures !esp top! have you got photoshop ?to fix with the top image you could try

enhance > adjust lightening > shadow/highlight and use the slider
not too much mind or it ruins a picture .

with the beach picture you could try straightening the image then cropping it vertical
